Farmall M and Cockshutt 1550...

With the 1456 almost done, I pulled the next 2 tractors in the shop. One will be a Farmall "M" and the other will be a Cockshutt 1550

This will be the Farmall...

I started on the "M" hood and fuel tank... I bought a Farmall A nose and fuel tank and started cutting them down...

I got the fuel tank "cover" welded up today.

I started the grill for the Cockshutt.

Steering for the M arrived today... My machinist is TOPS!

 Steering linkage is done...

 Steering pedestal...

Front end is mounted...

 

I got the grill from my machinist. It was CNC routed from a file that I sent to him...

 Bent to shape...

 She's starting to look like an M...

I started working on the other end...

  I got the seat mounted today...

I got the dash done for the Cockshutt...

I'm just about done with the M... 

I started working on the swinging drawbar for the Cockshutt...

Electric 3 point hitch...

I got the M back from the sandblaster...

 Some red paint... I like it.

Started some assembly...

I set up the next ad for the Red Power Magazine...

I'm finally ready to paint the Cockshutt...

 I'm done with the M now... the "hub caps" really finish it.

The Cockshutt is all done...

1456 Diesel Front Wheel Assist...

I pulled the next one in the shop the other day. This is a White Field Boss 21. It is an imported Iseki and about 15% larger than it's little brother (the Field Boss 16.)

This one is going to be a 1456 with front wheel assist. I'm making a few tweaks to my measurements to accommodate the larger chassis.

These tires are MASSIVE (& expensive...)

She's just about done now, the only thing left is the seat...

 These 2 racks hold 90% of the tractor...

Minneapolis Moline G750

Well I'm not afraid to say that I'm very excited about this project. A customer has asked for a Minneapolis Moline G750 to show along side his real one. I've never seen one of these in person... that may be because there were just over 200 of them made. All of the sheet metal will be the same as the Oliver 1650 that I did a year ago, but the grill will be totally new, and of course the paint color. :)

 This is what I'm starting with... a Cub Cadet 125. 12 horsepower Kohler with a hydro transmission.

The hood and grill are done...

 Fenders mounted, and making progress on the axle...

I always go through the hydro units on these tractors. New seals throughout and new seals in the rear end and engine as well.

 Finally started to paint...

 It's kind of weird re-assembling a yellow tractor... It's a first for me. :)

Red Power Roundup 2014

My Dad and I went to the Red Power Roundup in Huron South Dakota. We had nice weather for travel and the show. We took 2 orders at the show, and 2 more once I got home. All in all a very successful show for The Little Tractor Co.

 Thanks Dad, I couldn't have done it without you! :)

Who'd have thought that you teaching me to weld when I was 9 or 10, would lead to me building huge toys!

IH 1206 AWD's taking over... 3 at once... and a Row Crop.

Well, I've been working on these for about 3 weeks. I'm building 3 AWD IH 1206's. One's going to California, one's going to Iowa, and the third is headed to Ontario Canada.

They certainly don't look like much before I start working on them. This is a "Satoh Beaver." I've worked with this chassis before, they are very stout little machines. Rugged, and easy to work on. The best part is they start like a dream. I had one chassis sit in the barn last winter for 5 months, climbed on it this past spring, gave it the glow plugs, and it started right up.

This is the Yanmar, she's all done and ready to be picked up and painted in Canada...

All done...

 I couldn't resist... this tractor is headed to sunny California... I doubt it will be climbing snow drifts there.
